The course introduces the concepts of
both old and modern openhole well logging tools.
OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE
The main objectives of the course is to
acquaint students how to analyze each well logging tool
to extract information necessary for drilling, production
and reservoir engineering activities.
CONTENT
Fundamental concepts. Resistivity logs;
SP log, normal and lateral logs, laterologs, induction
logs, microresistivity logs. Other logs; Gamma ray log,
density log, neutron log, sonic log.
